The SA team gave it a go yesterday but the opener Wolvaardt scores far too slow using up too many dot balls. I would open with de klerk and Brits. Kapp is still pissed that her wife did not make the side and her below average performances have hampered the team. I did not realise that Mlaba was rated number 2 in the world rankings. She looks a better spinner than any of those pretenders in the men’s side. Must beat Bangladesh and hope that somehow the under achieving Kiwis can somehow beat Sri Lanka who on a going day could well win this WC
Dane van Niekerk never pass the fitness test and CSA was in a precarious position to include her. People were commenting that 6 to 8 year old elite girls can run 2km in under 8 minutes. She had to complete it in 09.30 minutes time. Definitely doable because some of the more bigger size girls made the time.
Remember Maglala was selected and then omitted because of fitness issues. I think Shamsi also had to work on his fitness.
