Yes, both very good...Andreescu retired from a match this week so hope stress and strain not taking toll so early in career...

i have taken the double - Nadal and Halep to lift the trophies. 17/2..... Nadal needs no introduction... Halep has been in the final the last couple years and imo, the best ladies clay court player. I think this is a great price...

I have watched the last month of the clay court season.

Nadal beat an out of sorts Djokovic in Italy. Before that Nadal lost to Tsitsipas and Thiem.

Djokovic lost to Medvedev in Monte Carlo. In Rome Djokovic beat Del Potro. Del Potro had two match points. Del Potro not for injurie should have had more than 1 Grand Slam title by now. He is my outsider for the tournament.

The saving grace for Djokovic and Nadal is that the Grand Slams are best of five. The only players that can take them on is Thiem, the teenager Tsitsipas and a fit Del Potro.

On Saturday the teenager Auger-Aliassime lost another final. He looks a good prospect for the future.

Not been following the ladies. I always fancied Osaka. Hopes she has recovered from the other week where she withdrew mid tournament.

Oops, Federer looked in sublime form against lower ranked players.

I see Bianca Andreescu won today. I almost forgot about her. She could be anything. According to the stats, she has only played 12 clay court matches though.

Crazy to see a Tsonga vs Nishikori match in the opening round of a grand slam....... Tbh, after this match ( which i can see going 5 sets) the winner is definately going to have some stamina doubts going forward should they be in another grueling match up... especially with the top dogs going through fairly comfortably...

Should be some good viewing today..... Fed and Stan.... Could Stan take Rodger to 5 sets or
will Rodger brush him aside?

Nishikori vs Rafa.... Rafa to continue his dominance and take this in straight sets. Nishikori has had a couple of sapping matches where Rafa has breezed through...

Nadal wins a thriller at the year end finals against Medvedev. Down 5-1 and saving a match point in the final set, he manages to win the final set in a tie break, 7-6. That was a melt down of note by Medvedev.
