Wonder how many times there was a reference yesterday to 1966 and the red shirts as the secret ingredient for success. During the game I heard at least 3 references before the goal that never was. Strangely, after the 3rd Germany goal went in there were no references to 1966. England just not good enough, defence too slow......... I've seen milk turn faster. By the way, I'm not biased as I don't mind who beats the English.

The excuses are predictably coming thick and fast. Fabio Hat (which is what his name means in Italian) gets paid £6 million a year to say that his players were too tired. Could it not be that they are just not good enough...?
