I hope so Bob the Arc could be a classic, Workforce, Fame and Glory and St Nicholas?

some riders go their whole careers without winning a classic. Moore wins two in 24 hours.

C and C, I think 'most riders' is much nearer the mark! Scotia, at this stage I wouldn't bet on St Nicholas Abbey ever seeing a racecourse again, knowing how those boys operate.

Derby hero Workforce as short as 3-1 for Arc

WORKFORCE'S position at the head of the Arc market hardened on Sunday after punters weighed up just what he achievedin winning the Investec Derby at Epsom on Saturday.

William Hill and Victor Chandler cut the Sir Michael Stoute-trained colt to 3-1 favourite (from 4) while Paddy Power made him 4-1 clear favourite (from 5).

Lope De Vega also entered the equation for Europe's premier all-aged race at Longchamp on October3 - at least according to some of the layers. Coral installed him as a 6-1 chance after his impressive win in the Prix du Jockey Club, Victor Chandler 7-1 and William Hill 10-1.

Trainer Andre Fabre suggested after the race that he is likely to drop back in trip now and Ladbrokes believe that Chantilly runner-up Planteur is the more likely to head for the Arc.

They go 16-1 (from 25) and spokesman David Williams said: "Lope De Vega seems unlikely to get the Arc trip so we've taken the runner-up Planteur out of the race and suspect he is capable of better later this year."

Dick Turpin finished one place behind Lope De Vega when filling second spot in last month's Poule d'Essai des Poulains and the events of Sunday have prompted Paddy Power to cut him two points to 5-1 for the St James's Palace Stakes.

Hawkeyethenoo and Parisan Pyramid both went close at Epsom on Saturday and they were popular in the market for another Royal Ascot contest, the Wokingham.

Hawkeyethenoo, a fast finishing second in the Dash is 8-1 favourite (from 10) with Victor Chandler and 9 (from 10) with William Hill while Parisian Pyramid was cut into 20 (from 33) by William Hill.

King George could be next for Workforce

WORKFORCE, who surged to stardom when destroying Saturday's Investec Derby field, could make his next appearance in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot if connections choose to bypass the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby at the Curragh on June 27.

Ireland's premier Classic was identified as the obvious aim for Khalid Abdullah's hugely impressive Derby winner, but the speed of his recovery from the exertions of Epsom will be important in determining where he is seennext.

Abdullah's racing manager Teddy Grimthorpe said: "The Irish Derby is the first race to consider, but whether he goes there or not we are not yet sure.

"If you break the track record by a second, there's no way that you can't have had a hard race, so we'll have to see how he comes out of Epsom. Further ahead, the King George (on July 24) would be the next obvious possibility for him."

St Nicholas Abbey team eyeing Sunday return

ST NICHOLAS ABBEY could have his first run since May in Sunday's Go Racing In Kildare Finale Stakes at the Curragh.

The impressive Racing Post Trophy winner began this season unbeaten and was sent off the even-money favourite forthe 2,000 Guineas. Quoted at no bigger than 7-4 for the Investec Derby before the race, the Aidan O'Brien-trained three-year-old drifted out to as big as 4-1 after finishing sixth behind Makfi.

Lacklustre gallops and stiffness in his hindquarters ruled him out of the Derby only four days before the Classic and he did not return to cantering until August.

He had been entered in the Group 3 Diamond Stakes at Dundalk, won by Gitano Hernando, last Friday and Wednesday's Newgrange Race at Navan.

However, his trainer said: "We're still looking at starting him back in the Finale Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday, if we are happy with him later in the week."

A total of 22 entries were on Tuesday made for the Listed 1m2f contest, including triple Group 3 winner She's Our Mark and last year's winner Silverhand.
