Lest you forget furry one that i tipped Nomafoshni to you and two of my "lurkers" placed in Pe paying R5 a drum on Friday while your cert ran fourth at evens!! Have a good day and keep Saturday open as we may have either a race or lunch to attend when you can continue your assault on my skills!! In closing my sanity coach has been on a shopping spree to the local hardware store and has procured a lovely pair of hedge trimmers which she assures me works wonders on changing temperments of troublesome stallions!

ONE record in the bag, and the next is beginning to look a near-certainty.

Pocket Power slaughtered the opposition to land a record third Queen's Plate at Kenilworth on Saturday and, with arch-rival Dancer's Daughter flopping in another Grade 1, South Africa's favourite racehorse could well start odds-on to land a history-making third consecutive J&B Met at the same track on January 31.

The 13-20 chance never looked in the slightest danger in this L'Ormarins-sponsored Grade 1 mile, and for once he responded quickly when Bernard Fayd'herbe pressed the button.

Pocket Power, a son of Jet Master, surged into the lead a furlong from home and was not fully extended to beat the well-backed Our Giant by a length and a quarter with Kapil a neck away third.

Leicester-born trainer Mike Bass said: "Pocket Power is the best I've seen and I've been in racing a long time.

"Training him to win a third Queen's Plate - something no horse has ever done before - is like a golfer winning a major.

"I feel that this was one of his best performances because it was more fluent than most of the others, and the reason is that I've been able to have him better in recent months.

"We've often struggled with him in the past and that hasn't been the case this season."
