Trying to see wat u say about MY runner today........  if anything.

MAJOR ARCANA to win

VIXENINTHEVINEYARD the best horse in te race...

KAMBATI the VALUE OF THE DAY while SUNSET WARRIOR can also upset

ROCKBOAT can improve over distance for a place

I've got a share in a runner today....  R7   SINGLE  COMBAT.

Hasn't run for 3 months..........  pray do tell......   how the hell does this horse end up a weak  FAVOURITE   4 / 1   for this race. ??

I'm sure he will need the run.......  I'm just hoping he runs on at the death to be in the money.  COMPUTAFORM book has him @ 14 / 1 
GALLOP SA   gallops show him to run joint LAST !!!

Well  S.C.   can win today WITHOUT MY MONEY.... &  I don't mind if he does, but he's not a betting proposition @ 4 / 1.
IF he was 12 or 14 / 1 I'd have an eachway nibble.

RATHER  I play the stable companion in R 3  MAJOR ARCANA......    come on John & Muzi.......   bring home the bacon !!

All being said....   I am going to the course to watch the race....... it's a darn site closer than driving out to the VAAL..

Thoughts ... 

R1: 5 uninspiring Maiden Fillies with work-riders - so pace might be an issue; it would at least give some kind of guide on the form of Southampton in the 7th ...

R2: Another weak field - Samuel Sharpe with the allowance looks a fair price for an each-way

R3: I prefer Brigitte Anne - good draw and gets the fillies allowance, while Major Arcana imo might need further ...

R4: Miss River Dance is drawn  wide, while any improvement would see Trip of Faith and Takeachanceonme (might need further) feature; Asminderod is well bred and might be better this trip (also drawn pole position) - at the odds shape as an each-way bet 

R5: Even taking into account that Bjorn Ironside may not be that good (rated 105), being 18 points clear should prove very hard to beat; Drivelikeamaster second best

R6: Warning Light a bit of an unknown; I prefer Ensuing at the odds, while Fostinovo is in form and should go close

R7: Very open handicap; if Elvis's Single Combat repeats his last effort, he will win; Bloomington is drifting, but might be the main danger if not needing the run too much

R8: I make it a 2-horse race between Winds of Grace and Brave Viking

R9: Status impressed me in his maiden win, but he seems a bit stubborn; I also fancy a bit of We Are The Logans at the odds
