Wonderful weather today 😌
We have another power cut in Pretoria so hopefully it comes on to watch William Robertson and Golden Palm 🌴 winning .
Good Punting

Besides the first two short ones, looks a very competitive card

Thoughts on Guineas Day ....
R1: Only 4 carded - Griselda gets 3 kgs from Custodian - should be enough
R2: For BP players, one just needs to include Nightshine (if he starts) - World Attraction supported into odds-on, so looks hard to beat
R3: Porridge Boy is finding betting support and looking at the form that should be a foregone conclusion - but he is drawn wide and rested more than 6 months - so I think he is worth taking on; Highwayman Harry seems over-priced from pole position, while Firestorm made a fair debut and is drawn well; Masterofthebaroque has multiple winners from his 2 runs, so he should be considered from a wide draw, while My Dear Friend does not have too much to find on Masterofthebaroque and is half-brother to boom sire Erik the Red - not an easy race
R4: Does look a two-horse race between Knowmore and Vixeninthevineyard who looks ready to win
R5: Pinnacle Stakes over 1000; Taxi to the Moon looks to have the right credentials; William Robertson boasts 6 of his wins for this pilot, so probaly won't be a push-over; Elegant Ice, Mount Pinatubo also looks capable but imo they will have to run to beat Taxi to the Moon
R6: Fillies Guineas, where Golden Palm is an obvious contender, but she was beaten by Lowveld Lily last time; Valentino Balducci needs to overcome draw 15, but the jock probably will go right up there, while Hazy Dazy (drawn wide as well) looks capable (but Munger rides Elegantrix, who looks doubtful to get the trip); imo Charge It needs more ground, while on a line through Hazy Dazy, Frangipani can boost the quartet from a good draw
R7: Trust looks to have a lot going for him; Splittheeights is not sure to stay the 1600, but is by Vercengetorix; I do think that Grand Empire is still improving and should go close
R8: Callmegetrix - the trainer is of the opinion that she might need it, so this is open imo (even Son if Raj looks to hold Texas Red) - I'm taking a chance on Busstopinhounslow to beat Willy Meet Again
R9: Open race to close; I'm guessing that the de Kock stable will hold sway, but I think that My Lucky Charm will outrun his more-fancied stable companion
Enjoy
