I think the first two races where won and lost by the jockeys.
Lerena got the gap on Vibe SA in running and held on and in the second he sat behind when he knew Habib rushed Almond Sea to the front and was probably going to hard out there.

Maybe the going is more on the soft side, front runners are stopping badly
