......feed contamination doubtful....one would not be adding more costly sodium bicarbonate to feed formulas when there are other less CO2 active carbonates that can be introduced to cheapen the filler and binding function in extruded and pelletized formulations.....
if milkshaking actually did the trick in actually improving performance then many more would be trying/or using it......however there are several elixirs, formulations and feed additives that work well if used correctly and improve a more healthy conditioning regimin in aiding better muscle tone and general well being... but not known to make anything any faster..... good feed and proven nutricuitical additives make better horses more competitive for longer .....
