My thoughts on the day - let's see if they can match the pools in the Cape last week
R1: Should not be much between Sheldon (stable form a worry) and Lucy English (drawn down the inside, but probably not that big a factor in this small field); Mini Coop the dark horse with de Melo engaged
R2: Guessing game
R3: Woman of Fame should take a lot of beating on her debut; nothing really finding market support at the moment
R4: Poursomesugaronme the obvious one, Rockingthetimeaway is the main danger imo (better draw down the straight than the hottie imo); Look to the Stars improved after a rest but probably needs further, while the Avoontoast imo would need more ground
R5: William Robertson should win if this has not come too soon after his good win last week; I think both Red Saxon and Puerto Manzano will need this and anyway they are better over 1600 and further, so I make the main danger the Tarry filly Under Your Spell, while MK's Pride is not in the betting, but at the weights can upset
R6: Feather Boa ran if the 1800 would not pose any problems, so does look the right one; the other fillies who ran well in the Fillies Guineas, look the man dangers (especially Emirate Gina and Bless My Stars, who both should appreciate the extra 200m), while None Other is also very capable and Silver Hills is improving rapidly
R7: Open Classic; Billy Bowlegs does have an awkward draw but beat Guineas winner Eye of the Prophet convincingly giving that one 3 kgs, so a definite contender; Shoemaker never finds a draw, but is definitely better than his last run where they tried to beat the draw - expect him to be given a chance today; Electric Gold will appreciate the extra 200m, still has more than 3 lengths to find with the pair that beat him in the Guineas; Laguna Verde could be a dark horse; Anfields Rocket does look as if the 1800 would be a stretch
R8: Handicap; Litigation in form and suited to the track and trip, stable mate Pyromaniac probably the main danger; roughie to consider imo is Raisethehallelujah - better than last run when racing too handy and does get the 1.5 kg allowance, which puts him in the race
R9: Tough handicap to close off the P6, Back in Business does have stand-side draw, but I think he has a tough task at the weights; both Matchett runners Angel of War and Smith and Wesson have chances, while After Hours has consistent form - has never run well at this course, but that was quite some time ago and over more ground, so not without a chance
R10: Uninspiring Maiden to finish the meeting; Jet Dynasty seems to have his problems, while the stable of the main danger on form, does not inspire confidence - so I'll just watch
Enjoy

I'm disappointed with the coverage to post, race 2 on the dedicated channel. That being said, Lucky Lad looks to be a good sort, he didn't go down to post the best, so I think he'll improve much more. I thought Sandringham Summit went down better than he did.
