I was a boomaker for 25 years and in that time all bookies looked forward to three
meetings. The first was July Day here you could lay which horses you wanted ,hold good money,and not have a loser.Second was the Gold Cup,all the beter horses carried the top weights and over 3200 you could allways expect a result.The third was International Jockeys Day. The overseas jocks rode in all the events all going like hell to win and inevitabley producing a few good results for the books. My tip to all punters and gamblers on this coming event is to be careful and think good about your outlay as you could be hurting at days end.I myself allways just sit back on these days and enjoy it on TV.
