It was a nice run over a distance clearly a touch sharp for the horse now. I noticed that this horse carries his head very awkwardly though and did this for at least 800m if not more. Is there a reason that this horse does this as this must affect him in the race.

I do remember the great Lester Piggott being asked the same question about a troublesome horse after a ride.
He says the best cure was to put a piece of lead in the ear.
The owner asked "what is the easiest way to insert"?
Lester replied "by using a gun"
