Snaith comments
Race 1: Danilo Danilovitch (3) will take some beating in the opener.
Race 2: Looks a tricky race. Not much between Starboard (1) and Daughter of Zeus (2) with the latter proving more value. Love Note (
is worth considering at 50-1.
Race 3: All the talk is Grand Escape (13) but I feel this race is far more difficult and recommend going wide in the Place Accumulator – include Wolf Man (3)
THE PICK 6 COMMENCES!! R15 million expected likely pool.
Race 4: Pinkerton (9) is in fine form and will run a huge race despite weight turnaround. Another tricky affair.
Race 5: High Hosanna (4) has improved and will take some beating. Stable mate Kwinta’s Light (7) is good value and worth an each way bet.
Race 6: Rascallion (2) will take some beating. Both my horses should be included in pick 6. Hoedspruit (4) is far better than his form and 16-1 is generous. Legitimate (13) could cause a pick 6 upset – ignore his rating.
DON’T FORGET TO SWITCH TO SUPERSPORT (DSTV207) at 3:15pm to get all the bells and whistles.
Race 7: All three of my horses must be included in pick 6 with Kasimir (1) marginally standing out despite the short trip. The two fillies Celtic Sea (10) and Run Fox Run (11) have to both be considered with the latter possibly turning the tables on their last encounter.
Race 8: I feel the three-year-old’s could dominate this Gr1 event with Captain’s Ransom (10) standing out – banker! Chat Ching (11-1) looks her biggest danger and good value at 10-1.
Race 9 CAPE TOWN MET: Belgarion (3) is strong over this trip and will be the horse to beat. He is a banker for the quartet carryover. Do it Again (2) is pure class and can storm home if he gets into his full stride. Rainbow Bridge (1) doesn’t know how to run a bad race and must be respected.
Race 10: Silver Host (7) loves this trip and will be hard to beat. Crome Yellow (2) looks his main competition.
Race 11: Viridian Light (3) is knocking on the door and will be right in the money again. This race could well throw up a major upset. Look for the spook!
Race 12: Naval Secret (7) is the wrong price at 10-1 and is worth an each way bet. Tarantino (1) was unlucky in his most recent start and if jumps on terms he need serious consideration.
See you back at the races SOON!

Re: Kenilworth Saturday 30 January MET DAY

The big day has arrived and will be weird watching from home as I haven't missed many over the past 30 years.
Kenilworth Racing have a smart innovation- they plan to interview winning owners on Zoom straight after each race.
Not much wind forecast, so expect a light headwind and a fast course.
Race 1 Seeking Peace good value, and Danilo Danilovitch good form Selection 7/3/2/5
Race 2 Duplicity formline well represented, and Daughter of Zeus and Zeta Jones had tough passages from bad draws, so not much between them and Starboard which looks a bit skinny priced. Swazi Queen capable at best. Madeline two fair sprints and should improve this trip. Selection 5/3/2/1
Race 3 Quite a few with chances. Great Escape wide draw but good debut and scope for big improvement. Superior Leader and Churchhaven consistent and should be in the shakeup. Any of 2,3,6,7,8 have shown enough to surprise.
Selection 13/5/4/7
Race 4 Open Pinnacle. Fabian priced up early favourite, but may be better sprinting. Hoodoo Magic good win in Jhb but may be better further. Snow Report solid form. Captain of Stealth was one of the best around as 3yo before injury, and seem to be regaining form- huge runner. Pinkerton very consistent and still seems to be improving. Selection 6/5/9/2
Race 5 Small but classy field and any can make big improvement. On a line through Kwinta's Light and African Rain I prefer the girls at the weights. Our filly Treasure Hunt was not disgraced on debut and she should not be 40/1.
Selection 9/4/7/1
Race 6 This looks a match race between the top two. Kom is unbeaten and progressive- Rascallion was unlucky in the Guineas and proven at the highest level. Our boy Crimson King was a victim of the virus in November. He showed in KZN that he is top class, and will enjoy the long run in and trip. may need this slightly but not without a chance. Fast Love solid form and getting 3kg could be in the mix. Possible improvement this trip from a few runners. Selection 1/2/3/7
Race 7 A tough race- a few that have been off form but have ability, and some better the 1200m. I like Celtic Sea despite the trip. Erik the Red is hard to assess against the others, but on a line through Rio Querari must be respected. Run Fox Run and Russett Air the 1000m specialists. Can never discount Kasimir. Selection 10/11/12/2
Race 8 match race between Captain's Ransom and Clouds Unfold. Chat Ching and Silvano's Pride look next best. Our mare Helen's ideal is well, but this looks too strong for her. Selection 10/1/11/2
Race 9 The big guns are all back, and not much between them, so a case of who is right on the day, pace and luck in running. Risk of slow pace. Rainbow Bridge is ultra consistent and looks to peak at the right time. Belgarion the elect from very strong stable, and could still be improving. Do It Again best this trip. Golden Ducat a 4yo so should still be improving. Needed his last two but should be close to best today. Queen Supreme solid form but even with weight allowance I prefer the boys. Selection 1/3/2/7
Race 10 Always a tricky race. Atyaab has travelled a bit but looks best in at the weights, and stays all day. Silver Host good win last time and will be there again. Chrome Yellow good form and a genuine stayer. Old man Kampala Campari can never be ignored. Selection 1/2/7/3
race 11 Very open contest. Field in jackpot. Selection 3/7/12/1
Race 12 Another very open race. Our filly I'm a Lady is probably better than rated and she is great ew value at 16/1. In A Huff should be right there if this is not too sharp. Selection 5/6/7/2

Another Snaith/Fourie benefit day based on strength of their runners and how they started peaking on Queens Plate day...
The big one:
Belgarion to hopefully win in a canter.
Snaith confident.
Richard extremely confident.
A monster over this type of trip.
Don't see a danger based on his prep...
Quartet: R198
