Cloudy, and it looks like we could have a headwind this afternoon. Course should again run fast and favour front runners. Sorry- should be tailwind!
Nice card
Race 1 Gertrude Bell should win this unless there is a special first timer.
Race 2 Firealley is the one to beat. T'Challa good first run and should go close. Legitimise has been off form in the wet, but if repeating its second run and with 4kg claim could pop up. Emperors Decree fair debut and could run a place. A few possible improvers. I will be watching Mhlabeni with interest on his debut- half brother to top class Last Winter.
Race 3 As noted by others, Magical Midlands is the one to beat after good run last time. Essos good improvement last time and Contact Zone has won again, so he must be respected. Heartbreak Hotel wide draw but on best form can win. Interesting that Fourie is on Six Hills Giant- good draw but uninspiring first two runs.
Race 4 Pharr Out good penultimate run, and did not seem to see out the 1800m last time. I make her the one to beat on her best form. Kunming, Kayc Al, Perfect Princess and So Flawless all have the ability to win a maiden.
Race 5 Very open handicap
Race 6 A very competitive race, where I have 2 runners. I'm siding with the 3 year olds, and I think that I'm a Lady is good enough to win this. We did not accept in the feature race last week as she drew in the bush. Flower of Saigon has a wide draw, and is the danger. The older F&M are closely handicapped. Secret Depths is fit and well and seldom runs a bad race. She gets the 4kg claim but has to jump from a bad draw and will need some luck in the running.
Race 7 Another tricky race. Dad's Catch was very impressive her first couple of runs, and if she can regain that form should win this. Bad Habit is very consistent. Vodka Lime two poor runs at Durbanville, but on bottom weight can go very close here.
Race 8 Another tricky handicap, where I again will side with the 3 year olds. Captain's Flo is my first choice, but many with chances.

Hate it when trainers lie to the public. Fire Alley could need the run - yeah right ! Backef from 3/1 to 12/10 and came home smoking !!! Rather say nothing Candice

Thanks you for giving me the confidence to only play FireAlley on top. I hit the ex a couple times. Now I can grocery shop.

Much appreciated, Peter 👍

you should read Peter D posts, you wont go far wrong by following him on the ones that he says he really fancies, He said that Fire Alley was the one to beat and yet again Peter D is proven correct. One of the, if not the best on the forum when tipping up winners.

Remember this trainer went 99 runs without a winner not too long ago.
Not sure she did this on purpose, probably the grooms or work riders just knew more than her.

Snaith said there is a virus in the stable so there is no way to know which horses are affected and which are ok.

She stated clearly in the post interview that she did not give him a grass gallop and added that the groom this morning was angry that he did not have the gallop so she was 100% honest prerace - Maybe the punters go on becase the fav started drifting badly?

2 Firealley 1.70 1.55 1.70 1.75 1.60 1.70 1.85 2.00 2.30 2.50 2.65 2.85 3.00 2.85 2.65 2.50 2.20 2.35 2.00 1.80 1.75 1.65
Price taken 10 times.
What I'm trying to say is that somebody knew more than the trainer, and I think that's obvious when you see how much money came for it and the way it won.
