Paying for tipping services???
4 years 8 months ago
This is a topic that is quite interesting. Over the years i have seen tipping services, some of them have been doing it for many years with a decent track record. But in recent times there seem to be many fly by night tipsters or con artists. Has any other members had any experiences with these servicers, as after lockdown and racing restarted many people are under pressure and desperate.
One of my reasons for asking is that i know of someone who got desperate and saw a tipster posting on facebook all the after race tickets and then decided to join. It wasnt expensive but the end result is that with their WhatsApp group sending info he ended losing everything, which is sad. They sent out best bests doubles pick 6 etc and the moment they got beat comes a new bet then another new bet. After 20 doubles then one arrives and then that ticket gets shown on facebook where its shown as a good thing, never mind the 20 losing bets.
Surely this is bad for racing as con artists are preying on desperate people.I have heard of tipsters having as many as 500 people in their groups, they are printing money and probably tax free money that sars is not aware of.
It would be interesting to hear anyones input as far as im concered there will be only one money maker, but im only posting this as i have watched someone lose everything in desperation and i think people need to be aware.

Hey Batman. My friend is a tipster and has been one for many years. To be honest with you it is difficult for them to make money from this paid service as one guy will subscribe and then either screengrab the tips or print it out and distribute it to the whole community for free. They (the tipsters) end up probably making more money out of punting then supplying tips. I think I know which tipster you talking about... Some of them are great at advertising, but won't mention the 20 losing tips.

its the racing websites that allow these so called tipsters to promote this rubbish that are to blame imo

Used to subscribe to a well known tipster, found it a waste of time in my opinion, tipster ended up tipping so many different perms, and as you say, the one that wins is the one that gets advertised, and forget the rest. Also, the one value bet that wins will be the one that is heard about for the rest of the year. I rather lose my money on my own than pay someone to tell me how to lose it.

Fly by nights Batman, as i say each to their own on how you spend your money, but much rather stick to guys like the Whisperer, who gives you his selections in advance and not after he`s watched the market movers and copied the well known paper and website tipsters..
These guys on facebook and whatsapp are all fuckwits

Been a client of the Whisperer for many years. I have been punting for almost 30 years. Study my own form, been reading the Computaform and Winningform since I can remember. Do not follow his selections blindly. Nice to have a second opinion. Subscribed to almost every tipping service in RSA. Will be a client of Matthew for life. You can learn something from almost any serious form studier / analyst.

With the way how racing is complicated and difficult, paying tipsters is mere luxury.

Tipping is a tough business. After many years of being on the telly one thing I learnt about my followers was that once they knew that when I bled they bled and when I ate caviar that ate caviar our relationship became mutually respectful.
You see there is no doubt that certain people know certain things or study in a certain way.
In November the IRC decided to start a sports advice line. We don't just do horses we do a variety of sports and I assure you for a more £20 a month we are certainly value for money. Since inception we are about 152 points up across the sports and our 10/10 bets are 60 points up.
I think we have found the correct balance between the various sports. This also helps because we are only putting out about 8-10 bets a week across the various sports and it goes without saying that when one of our experts is down the other one is up.
Im not touting for business on this platform as Im not in the mood for the trade of abuse that will no doubt follow.
If you interested we not difficult to find on social media.

My thoughts were if you know the outcome of an event just punt it yourself rather than sharing it.
We all get inside info from trainers and jocks but rather unreliable and horses can make fools of all of us.
I had a racehorse tipping service in SA possibly the first? Must have been 45yrs ago.
FPTP ( first past the post)
I would share info from trainers Robert Maroun etc.
Basically it was before % betting was available and it was more a syndicate to play bigger perms.
In Easy case, slightly different than just sharing info, its a proper package of owning horses, golf, game drives etc and a proper gentleman's club ( although I am sure ladies allowed)?
Maybe remove G.O.L.F.
Its your call if you want to buy info and sure there are some better tipsters than other, we also fortunate that we have Frodo, Peter D etc etc prepared to share their thoughts and runners on a public forum
Good Punting
