Always the risk of being a slow run race with such a small field and Zackey thought it was best to take Vardy to the back of the field.Short straight at Greyville was always going to be hard to make up the ground off a slow pace.Probably trainers instructions.

Today he probably had to be placed in the same position as his last race.

I could be very wrong, but i don't believe Vardy will run in the July, just not course suite and there is still the issue of stamina. We don't really know whether he sees out 2000m, we will never know based on the Met run, where he had valid excuses. They may be better suited to taking their chances in the wfa WSB Champions Cup which is normally run at the end of July, not sure when this year, but he'll do much better in that race over 1800m conceding minimum weight, if any.

Excellent win by the Pudding, must have been 20/1 in running

From the Oaks to this race in s couple weeks. Great training feat.
