Will try and catch the show, but bottom line your input would be appreciated .
I guess HAWWAAM and the best jock on planet is a good formula?

There's just no way i can make it as funny as Mike put's it, watch it from about the 40.00 minute mark :-

For those that can't watch. Mike basically said at this stage he thinks Barahin is well weighted compared to Hawwaam and especially to the top weights. Hawwaam is a very good horse, Anton likely to ride Hawwaam. Muzi been offered the ride on Barahin. When pushed for a selection, Mike leaned towards Barahin over Hawwaam due to Hawaams mental immaturity and the weights being in Barahin's favour. A good watch though.

Also good interview by James. He asked the questions the public wanted to know. Our reporters can learn from him. Rather than writing articles based on their own opinions and how certain horse races panned out.

Can't say i agree with De Kock regards Barahin. The horse is clearly under sufferance, so it's hard to understand why he would say it's well handicapped should it carry 53.0kgs - in realty it should be carrying much less. Mike was impressed with Barahin's victory on Sunday, stating his 3 year old carried weight and fetched older horses which were not stopping - which of that field is still standing it's ground in the VDJ nominations, and even if one of those horses did make the final field, i'd be surprised if it made a top 10 finish on the day.

Can't visualise Barahin finishing in the first 4.

Bayern I also agree with you on Barahin but maybe Mike knows more than us. Could this horse be a lot better than its current rating?

He did say he expects it to finish it's career at about a 117 (i think), that's if and when it gets there, right now he believes it has the potential. If this horse was with any other trainer, i have no doubt it would be double the current odds, or bigger. He may well be better than rated, but that what the stable needs to justify the weight it's going to carry. Under the current rating, he doesn't have a prayer.

I thought watching the race and listening to the comments and style of running that the Gold Cup would be right up Barahin street .
