Let me play Devil's Advocate - Wonderwall was once rated in the 100s; lost form and was gelded; yesterday 2nd run after the gelding and returned to previous form

i will be honest i did not take the 2nd run after gelding into account.
i used Mardi Gras and Mr Flood as my guide. i was concerned that the favorite was a 6 year old having 9th run of current season.
i had Wonderwall in my bets but just surprised that it won by 5 lengths that is quite some improvement.
the snaith 2 year olds was annoying . odds on gets rolled by 50/1 stablemate.
