You are probably right El, doing rides for a Jock like Andrew is easy, when you represent a talent like him trainers truthfully would use him even if Magube phoned on his behalf, but as it stands it is I that has the honour and priviledge and I am looking forward to next season as a season that I can always look back on with pride.

Capetown noms are very easy as he has a base stable and loyal friend in Joey Ramsden,so just a matter of filling up the odd race so need to study up a bit of form and make the calls,fairly basic, Durban a little harder with the weight restriction and most of the top yards have stable jockeys,have however had very positive response from most highveldt trainers and am looking forward to the 7th (our first meeting in Jhb)Kimberly is a walk in the park have Peter Miller as a base and Vernon Rugg and Leon Erasmus use him where ever he is available......come to think of it Robert Magube WOULD be able to cope with the job the truth of the matter is he would do better as Andy's agent than he has done in his political carreer...I am on a basic plus commision on his earnings with a R1500 a month cell phone subsidy extremely good remuneration when one takes into account that he needs an agent to ride winners about as much as Madiba needs a passport to travel abroad.

apl dont be so modest bud,its a thankless task whichever way you look at it,trainers mess you around ,you got to pick rides from THE NOMS SHEET and now that you nominate for free it is like looking for a needle in a haystack.you have to keep the trainer calm if one or two get beat they expecting to win as the trainer always blames the jock..it is a shit job but you are doing a superb job and he didnt break into those yard easily either
