Pearl Tiara & Palace Rose fought out the finish. In slow motion replay Sheldon felt that Palace Rose ( Kom Naidoo ) might of won the race however the judges felt the favourite Pearl Tiara won the race. I also felt that Palace Rose should be the victor or the result should be a deadheat.
There is no slow motion on the replay i am watching but he gave it to Pearl Tiara as they crossed the line....i agree with that but at one point of the heads up heads down Palace Rose was ahead,whether thats was an inch before the winning post only a photo can tell
When Sheldon call the race live he give it to Pearl Tiara but on the slow motion replay he felt Palace Rose won it. I was at the Scottsville race track, most punters seemed surprised with the outcome. It was the only favourite to win on the day. Punters took a battering.
Does the photo (thanks to Bob) not show Kom's filly ahead? Looks that way
But on mirror image, judge could have picked incorrect horse ahead as the 11 would have been the middle horse and the 12 (favourite) would have been the outside horse...
