7 years 1 month agohave to agree with you elusive silva wasnt exactly knocked about last time and the give in the ground will suit along with the fact he hs to shape to get a run in the rothmans ...myabi gold was all the rage last time but this is quite a strong field ..if cabo da cruz is going to have a future he has to dispose of this field he meets in the first..mvp1 wrote: Elusive Silva is something of a Greyville specialist. He's my play for the day along side miyabi gold in the last.

It’s not often that there is value offered on same horse doubles. Trackandball have priced up the 1900/July double and Pack Leader 60/1 which I couldn’t resist, even though I think his price for today is rather skinny and he is not at this stage my first pick for the July.
However 7/2 x 10/1 = 48/1 and there is usually a 1/3 (unjustified) reduction fo same horse, so 60/1 is value.

Race 5: Epona looks good value at 7/1. She and Ngaga are the class fillies here and there was nothing wrong with her comeback run at Durbanville last time. Not well drawn, but if she has traveled well should be right there. Leaves of Grass has scope for improvement and not much between her and Parabola at the weights.
Race 6: Pack Leader is an improving 3yo and should go close. It’s My Turn is my pick of the older brigade and there was a lot to like about his last run. Fort Ember ran well below best last time but is well in at the weights. Kampala Campari steps up in class but has scope for improvement and gets the plum draw.

Some thoughts from the guest presenter .....
Some doubt for me ito Ngaga staying, Parabola obvious chance again with Leaves of Grass; for me Fantasy Lady can put that last effort behind her and can surprise here
Wide open 1900 - at the odds I think Dark Moon Rising is good value; It's My Turn should be right there; jockey arrangements suggest IMT the stable elect, but The Slade is not to be ignored; Platinum Prince is the improver; not sure about the 3yr old, but can't be ignored
I like Luke Ferrraris' mounts in the last two as both look well in with the 4kg claim
Enjoy

For me can't have its My Turn.
Has not win a race since January 2016 and has not won a race in 7 attempts at Greyville.
I know it has been running in the main races in KZN and the Cape ........but for me sorry just can't have it.

Race 1 favorite will be very difficult to beat. Van Zyl runner will most certainly not win but 3rd or 4th looks possible. Duncans horse for 2nd imo.
