Will the stipes give him a long holiday ?
AGREE; but nothing will happen because he "did nothing wrong"...
He is a different horse when drawn on the rail on his near side. Nearly all his runs he has won he was drawn on that side, ran handy and stayed on well.
He has never needed the whip much. If he has been vigourously ridden its usually been when he has run well below best form. Today he ran very much as he has done at Greyville going around the bend, which has not been his best running style, but forced because of the track,.
I thought he ran very well but lacked to finishing speed to beat the winner, and more whip would not change that

Just on 2 of the horses that may be of interest later in the season that ran yesterday
Stipes report that Sand and Sea ..jock reported severe respiratory noise, likewise vet report confirmed abnormal respiratory.
A Bishops Bounty looks to have had a bit of a rough one. Stipes report lost 1 l , inconvenienced by a few horses carried out in front of him and slow into stride. Not unusual start for him but also lost right fore shoe and vet reports not striding out right fore.
I didn't have a bet on either but have had them pencilled in to follow in the season and was disappointed by both. May have been valid reasons .
