Imo this illustrates one of the big shortcomings in the application of the MR system .... when
(and how many points) do you drop a horse - after 2 below par runs, or 3 or 4 ... in this case, how do they decide on '90' - why not '92', or '88' - as she ran to somewhere in the low eighties in her effort on the 27th

At the end of the day , it just shows there is no consistency in what these guys do , no transparency and think they can have carte blanche on all decisions without owners questioning these absurd decisions .

....matters like these are in very bad taste and do not bode well to keep race horse owners enthused and promote new potential owners by the way that they are handled....I thought that your letter in the SP was well written and concise....it is very rare that the RA responds through them for starters and should have been a lot less matter of factually insinuating that your horse is just not good enough yet the MR indicates the opposite....did they(the panel) actually believe that horses are taken down at considerable expense for a holiday or to give owners a reason to get onto the course on a big race day.....I notice that you and your trainer did not chase after the sibling of your aggrieved charge....a bitter pill to swallow when you put up your hand secure a lot pay the exorbitant levy to get into the race....win 1st time out.... get grade 1 placed earn a respectable higher MR for doing so..... and then get excluded from an event that you actually paid to be part of ....not because your charge is inferior....but deemed to be overrated..........put up your hand at the next sale.....I think not.....once bitten .... twice shy....

i certainly had in mind to buy the half sister, but thought it was morally wrong to support the CTS sale, and to pay the hefty levy to qualify for the race, only to make way for the broederbond of racing, when you do eventually qualify.
