Watching these videos just made me realise again what a wonderful spirit exist in the racing game and how much dedication and sacrifice goes into triumphing at the highest levels.
Hats off to all trainers, jockeys, punters and owners that make this game what it is. The highs and lows of life is seldom experienced more intensely than in racing.
Racing still has all the ingredients to be the most intriguing and entertaining activity for a mass market but the efforts are so badly misdirected. Our operators need to approach involvement from an entertainment driven players perspective and then things will start happening that racing has not experienced for the last three decades.
Thanks Easy, really inspirational stuff.

Re: To the Leishers

Being Formgrids and serving the industry as we do Phumelela gave us a table for 4 every Turffontein meeting and would comp our lunch,, one day several months ago two of Barties brothers arrived and sat at our table shortly thereafter Derreck Flynn another racing legend and his son arrived so the table now hosted eight people, so I called the Phumelela Head Honcho and asked if its ok to comp these extra four guests, "Yes but dont do it again" was the reply, so we had a nice afternoon racing,, the following meeting at Turffontein Clyde Basel arrived at our usual table to tell me that the standing arrangement was cancelled and there would be no more comp lunch for Formgrids because the week before we abused our privilege,, needless to say I have never been to the racecourse again

That grey horse that Bartie is on in the winner's enclosure and trained by his brother Tansie in the vestlike shirt, that horse must have been Spot The Joker. I know, I was there at Newmarket when he won at like 66/1
.
Personally, I thought Bartie should have never returned to the saddle, but then I'm not his doctor nor am I Bartie.

When i watched the videos it took me back when Lagin won at Germiston, on the stands we all had our mouths open watching the distance it was winning by.
Was it trained by Jean Hemming ??
