McBride could not recognize his own horse?

I would love to see pictures of each to compare

At least now in the RSA horses are checked prior to the race

I know at least one trainer in Cape Town who always gets any new horses into his yard
checked on a Friday by one of the NHA staff when they are at Milnerton for starting stall
certification
They are always happy to help

From the press here in the UK at least so far it seems that mistake is being recognised as a genuine mistake rather than something scandalous.

The big thing for me, was that the trainer, who helped with the lead in etc. did not report an issue himself, as guaranteed he knew something wasn't right when his 50-1 ! shot winner came into the winners box and unsaddling area.
