I noticed it before the race was run,absolutely ridiculous that there is no ways of contacting anyone to let them know of the error before the race goes pay pay.

I never had a bet,but the favourite should at least have been declared a non runner if the race isn't supposed to be null and void.

I have seen it happened before at Kenilworth, stipes did nothing then as well.

I contacted the duty manager Teresa at Kenilworth Race course and she said she would inform the stripes.
I did mention if they need to look at the footage there is a clip on ABC forum.

Kenilworth Racecourse duty manager Teresa said that the stripes did admit 2 horses had been put into the incorrect starting gates. She told me the senior stipe on duty is Nick Shearer contact number 021-7001900. Nick can be contacted next week to give clarity on the outcome of the investigation.
