So what is 'preferential treatment' - imagine for a moment Press's fancy The Elmo Effect wins the Jubilee HANDICAP - does he get in, and where does he go on the log - higher than a runner like Brazuca despite being rated a whopping 16 points below him ?

I also find it strange that Master Switch is running in the Cup Trial and not in the Jubilee - surely the Jubilee would have presented a much easier opportunity to get into the July?

Looking at the bottom half of the log, surely the winners of both the Cup Trial and Jubilee Handicap should get in.

Liege come in from 75/1 to 33/1 for the July

I see some 2/1 for todays race. Not cut and dried imo.
