No, only when they shorten in the betting. You see many horses winning at big prices where the trainer didn't fancy them, nothing wrong with it, it happens. It the pulling wool over our eyes I have a problem with.

It was obviously someone who knew it wouldn't need the run, but luckily it didn't win!

geez man , in such bad tate.
If I was a owner , id put something on my horse everytime it ran , irrespective of gelding, time off from racing , having 3 legs , five testicles. and I assure you Tappa my bet will have the horse claimed, irrespective of the price.
I say , unlucky to the owners and hope it comes home smoking a pipe next time.

As I said earlier on the thread Mark had a bet on Step It Up, all their horses are sent out to win ( look at Patel he rode the second to win )
Notting hill won and the owners never punted, does it always have to be about punting ?
As Candy said all it would take was the owner to have a grand ew at that price, then his bookies clerk to tell his mate that The owner of the Shams horse punted his horse and next we know there is money for it .
Happens every race in SA !

Your comments on here is always appreciated. Do not let the odd few create a bitter perception about everyone else. I rather have some sort of angle than none. Regardless if it works out or not. The working out bit on your comments far out ways the reverse.
Cheers for your comments I appreciate them. Likewise with other owners/trainers/breeders etc.
Len, i had a go at the comments that was posted early in the morning with the exotics, not what you post/fancy. I don't know if it's the trainer/assistant trainer or stable employees who gives the comments, but whoever did it lied through their teeth. The horse was 14to1 and ended up at 7to1 and 2nd favorite on the tote paying R6.60 a win and R2,10 a place. Somebody/ a few people obviously tried to pull a coup, because the horse was cherry ripe and nearly won the race. The pre-race comments was " 2nd run after a gelding which he took bad and will need the run". The same goes for the comment on the Paddock horse which won, "she will probably need the run", but she shortens from 22to10 to 14to10 and shits in??? Its better not to comment on your runners than to mislead the public.
Tappa you assume the comments are a lie because the horse shortened. Anybody can have a bet on the horse . In this case one of my mates had a full go on Dutch harbour he fired the horse a win and a place with three bookmakers and landed many place multiples .

Your friend obviously didn't read the stable comments, because who would put a cent on after reading that BS!

the point is others had a bet and not necessarily the stable so you can't point fingers at the yard giving out "misleading" info !

No, the point is that the stable did in fact give misleading info. The horses didn't need the run, end of that! The same goes for the Michelin man's filly who won earlier in the day when "she should need the run"

The yard got it wrong !!! Their comments where true , they just got it wrong . Dutch harbour ran above expectation !!!! it happens all the time ...... if it was an exact science bookmakers would be out of business .

Tappa put your real name on here and don't hide behind your alias then it may have more credence... obviously you have an axe to grind with certain P/E trainers ..

I don't have anything against any specific trainer, I don't even know you, but I will point out BS when I see it. I must say, you do protest too much, let it go. I think most of the punters on here saw what happened yesterday.
Cheers, have a great day!

Horse ran like it needed a run
Field was full of poor out of form very lowly rated handicappers and he still couldn't win
And trust me the horse would not have started 8/1 it it was a pointer
Your out of order call Dorrie a liar
