Tellytrack Presenter Policy Change

I read on a different platform about this policy change coming into effect on 01 October.

I find this absolutely absurd.

This past Saturday at Turffies a good example. Molly said Sammy Silver must not be left out in race 6 however Bonski differed completely and actually suggested Molly need some help as he thought this horse would not run a place.

End result, Sammy Silver won going away thanks to Molly. Between the two or among three presenters you need to discuss, debate and deliver your choice of horse you have selected.

Good call oom Molly, always interested in what you have to say

Sammy Silver was tipped on USO on Saturday morning. Can't remember if it was Dom Zaki or Craig Zackey.

True Bob but Greyville on a Friday night, Turffies & Kenilworth on a Saturday are different altogether. That is when your Mon - Fri working class punters have a chance to relax & sit down and listen to what the panel have to say.

Maybe do 1 presenter for midweek meetings and 2 presenters for the other meetings mentioned above.

Only 1 presenter on a Saturday will not attract my attention unless the sole presenter is a worthy replacement i.e. Piere Strydom (when not riding), Felix Coetzee or Glen Hatt

UK racing channels do it with a presenter and a commentator for midweek meetings, but in the UK there is usually 3 or 4 meetings on so airtime is less

They will just need to need to prioritise what they tell us

for example only talk about breeders when it`s relevent(after a race congrats)

Use the commentators to bounce off

Trainer comments in the ring

Commentator on the way down

Bob, I have read on one of the threads but I could be wrong but the Gold Circle racecourses, Gold Circle also has its own Presenters in addition to the one employed by Tellytrack.

Not exactly sure, but from what Molly said on TT Saturday and Deez on Sunday the presenters will be single manning on racedays .

It's already been happening at midweek meetings( PE, Vaal Tuesday's and Flamingo)

Not sure of reason ? Let's say cost savings
What I am looking for in a presenter is someone who has done his homework (not tipping a scratched runner is a good example)
Giving inputs from trainers in parade ring and how the horse went to start which obviously does not help for exotics
Our horses are at the start much longer than any other racing centres so no point in calling numbers as they go into the boxes, have your say as they arrive at post then hand over to race commentator
I would also add that use the presenters that live in the province rather than flying them up and down if cost savings is the issue

This is absolutely Stupidity...Complete bullshit!!! Mr Scott and whoever should watch how HK do it...as they are worlds ahead of anyone!!! The have 2-3 presenters discussing horses and giving tips, and they are all decent 'tipsters' in my opinion...than the have Jenny...who watches how horses go down...and gives comments on how they look, and she is great at that. 1 presenter surely can't do everything Bob? Discuss picks? Give comments on how they go down? Getting trainer comments? And having the commentator calling them down is idiotic to say the least!!! Get someone knowledgeable. As the guys in the totes who fund their salaries, deserves best opinions and 'tips' they can get!!!

1 more thing...Send ALL of your on course presenters to some kind of class on 'how to pick winners' as 95% of them can only read form...and the other 5% are marginally better.I really like all of them,so before anyone goes on attacking me,this is merely my opinion:)

If the focus is on R20 punters as we are led to believe then why have any presenters... I can count on one hand the times I have actually heard the presenters preamble in totes... They put the volume DOWN until just before the race ....so unless these guys read lips what's the point.... Also will having 80% of the horses mentioned in a race between 2 or three people increase turnover? The punter only has a finite spend so he cannot spread this on all selections.... And he already has an idea what he wants to place punt before listening to the presenters.....
