Replying to both .......Naresh ...Adobe,and just to add to the confusion ,I wanted something to scribble on so printed the free Tab-sheet ,also adobe,and printed perfectly!
MrH,the only options I could find were Adobe or Microsoft!,and Microsoft wont work!

After you press print on the PDF, on the right, click advance. Is it set on Acrobat default ?

Yes Naresh .........and it prints the computaform ,its just the quality is so badly smudged, its unreadable ,but prints anything else (including Free Tab sheet) brilliantly(and the windows Printer test page confirms that the printer is correctly installed) .........the machine,in every other respect, is great!
......as I say the printing is streaked ....as if somebody was tugging on one side of the paper as it prints!!!!

The settings of Computaform PDF could be different when sent to print. Try googling your problem, a list of results come up when I tried.

Did you try printing from the Windows Default PDF. Its called Microsoft Edge.

Hi Naresh,thanks for your responses .
It turns out that there is s compatibility problem with Adobe and Windows 10......solved my problem by printing in "image"
Initially I did try edge without success but does now work with some settings changes.
Thanks to everybody for their help .....particularly Jason Dedekind,from Phumelela publishing,who went out of his way ;)

Must agree with you Rob, Jason is an absolute pleasure to deal with and really goes out his way. As mentioned before, the industry could do with more of him.

Yes ,and I think its because he is actually a racing man (as a opposed to a corporate dummy) so he has an understanding of racing people!
We could certainly do with more of him!
