Maybe Phumelela should look at the company who writes and manages their tote system programs and see if any of their employees have a tote account and have a look at their accounts to see if any of them are taking a lot of money out.Manipulation could be quite easy for a good programmer.Remember the mysterious Ozzie punter? How come that hasn't happened again?Maybe someone knew they where on to him and now is doing things in a different way.

I'm not sure this apology should placate us?
a)its the second time its happened in a few weeks
b)When it suits ,TAB's software is safe and secure and tamper proof, but as soon as they cock-up its always a software issue-software does make sporadic errors ...there are either programme issues or there aren't!
Enough doubt has been cast on TAB issues, for a full independant forensic audit of systems to be required, with particular attention to co-mingling security!
It is worrying that co-mingled tickets appear not be co-mingled into one pool prior to the start of the races being bet on!
(WTF ,what happened to the media release posted here?)

TAB MEDIA RELEASE
SUBJECT: Incorrect result Race 1 Fairview Friday 26 August
DATE: 29 August 2016
RELEASED BY: PHUMELELA GAMING
TAB inadvertently posted the incorrect result for Race 1 at Fairview last Friday 26 August which unfortunately led to a deal of confusion.
The provisional result was initially posted as 1-6-18-11. This was incorrect and the provisional result was then altered to 6-18-11-3, which was the correct official result.
Unfortunately, the corrected provisional result did not reflect on all digital platforms and the correct result was only displayed when the official result was declared. This was due to software issues, which will be rectified soonest.
TAB apologises to all customers for any inconvenience caused.

This is my take on the co mingling ( and I'm 1.01 ) to be correct
Sun International were the 1st to have the vision and for the 1st 20 years of trade ALL credit card transaction were processed off shore. There was so much cash floating about no one even bothered to consider the cc transaction's. The foundations for the empire were well and truly layed.
Now onto the latest scam…. I HAVE zero doubt that co mingling affects payouts. I have orchestrated a few wins myself that definitely affected the pools.
BUT @ 1.01 i am betting the following happens. The foreign stuff "only" comes into the pools when absolutely necessary, otherwise its much better to be held back on the Isle of Man.
So race runs and quick math is done, it it suits the tickets are allocated along with some funds but mostly i bet the funds don't even make it anywhere near SARS noses…..

That is a big allegation Easy as it implies tax evasion.
Interesting theory though as it is plausible but not necessarily true.
