Professional trainers aim horses at group races without burning them out
Your view is appreciated by me
And I hope you appreciate mine
A horse must be raced " Sparingly "
Group horses are most definitely not raced according to your suggestions .
Absolutely " To The Contrary . "
Why save ur best horse for other group races when the biggest most prestigious group race in the country is here now and ur horse is in the form of his life?
Go for history first horse on sa to win tripple crown and July!!
With such a classy animal i know where i would go.
As well most people are lookkng at his derby run and having doubts??!!
I say look at his classic run and urll looking at the July winner

I / We (attheraces) interviewed Milke last week and had a very good interview.
The July will only be option of the horse is ready, if not then next year. Dubai is not really an option Hong Kong the preference.
BUT above all else what we learned from the interview is that the horse comes 1st and therefore decisions will depend on well being.

Would not have expected anything else from Mike Azzie as I mentioned in original post a true horseman.

Glad to hear. I do think sometimes horses are rested or raced because of a program rather than the horses wellbeing.

we know from history we do not learn but here goes
two triple crown and tiara winners to date
horse chestnut - went into quarantine
ltk - went to greyville and bombed - maybe didn't handle the track
igugu - won woolavington and july
cherry - bombed. Ferraris said she had had a tough campaign and needed a break.
so
one out of four has won the july
two found the exertion of winning the triple too much to hold their peak
odds are against abba not because he isn't good enough but because triple takes it out of them. personally im also not sure hell handle the track.needs a proper run in imho

Along the same lines when the truly great Nijinsky did the triple crown it was always a question should it have missed the St Leger and just gone for the ARC?
We will never know was it just a bridge too far or did it stumble or did Lester make a mistake? ??
Always food for thought
