Len, strangely enough, the mystery punter admitted to hurling abuse over the clown suit. Title now seems rather appropriate. As for set-up, perhaps so but you cannot deny that a man in a position as the one in the clown suit is expected to behave in a manner typical of someone in his position. Rather you try vehemently to condone the pathetic behavior of a man bringing this lovely industry into disrepute.
Next you'll be saying Reeva Steenkamp should never have went to the bathroom. One thing is to stand up for your friend - the other is to acknowledge his pathetic behavior. you do one very well but lose any rational thinking when it comes to the other. Say it like it is Len, friend or not. I tried not to respond to this forum as I felt it going nowhere but every now and then we get someone defending behavior that is not socially acceptable. What if Larry was not your friend but in the same position and assaulted you - you can deny it all you want, but you'd be singing a different tune then.

Not condoning his behaviour but whose friend is this mystery punter that does not want to be identified and sends an anonymous email to say what happened..Merp why do you have to use the clown suit reference and I am saying if I was assaulted I would come forward and have my say.

Larry was verbally abused and reacted by assaulting that person so two things;

1. Civil action - the person assaulted would have to lay a charge & invariably the verbal abuse would be taken into account so 50/50 in a civil case.

2. In his capacity as CEO of the RA his only defense for striking someone would/could be that he was physically assaulted first and therefore self defense. If this was not the case and he was not physically assaulted then the NHRA has to take action against the CEO of the RA.

Irrespective of what any person would normally do, the position of CEO of the RA is seen as "person" with or without Larry and this person has a set of responsibilities & rules. Is Larry a normal "South African" male as some on here put it? Most probably yes and some people believe that his actions in some way are justifiable which is a crock of shit anyway. For Larry yes but not as the position he represents.

Larry represents and is paid to be the "person" or CEO of the RA which carries a set of rules of behaviour. Let us all be reminded that this is not a pub and because you like or dislike Larry then you decide what should happen. The NHRA has no option but to take action properly as it sets a president for what happens in the future.

What would have happened if this punter fell and hit his head and died, and don't say it can't happen. Larry should be put on the pavement like they did to me, I have said it before and I say it again, he's a thug to put it nicely.

So would the fine have been the same if this punter had ended up in hospital with a head or face injury and spent 3/4 days in hospital.

Savasp what do you have against Larry . How did he put you in the pavement if you didn't do it yourself
You find it very easy to run the man and his work down from behind your anonymous name but never say anything positive or contribute to making racing better..Please put proof were Larry evicted or closed your restaurant..

I think you should read the hole thread and go onto sporting post and read about how 100s of people have nothing nice to say about him, so start righting down all the name and ask them as well,anyway you don't know anything what happened they all work together and that's it, what goes around comes around .

Sporting Post is a bunch of loser?
Who the fuck do you think you are?
A lot of punters are losers now that there is no midweek Sporting Post!

But i can tell you with confidence,there has never ever been a more informative racing publication than the Sporting Post (imo at least)

I get the feeling it's because of people like you that people lose interest in horse-racing
Since there is no more midweek S/Post ( Partly due to idiots like you,I and certainly many others have lost interest in local racing
