First play in a while... no big likes but will play small...
R1 Patroclus interested me a little but only at the huge price so focusing now on Terra Incognito... 4.1l behind Roy's Gale 2nd March, Golden Fort 5.1l behind RG 18th March, both Poly over 1600. GF 0.25l behind Roy's Roll's Royce 8 April (Botanical Garden 1400). TI may prefer the poly and 3 of last 4 reported not striding which may be a fair excuse but may also be a concern, 1 draw a scratching, 4 draw usually slow away so the 5 draw becomes more appealing. Appie has been doing ok and takes weight off, stable in slightly better form though still not setting the world alight. TI supported 33/1 into 12s on debut and 20s into 10s on 3rd run after a rest possibly implying potential ability yet to be seen. RRR should perhaps win but at the prices...
R2 Not much between Catherineofaragon and Feature Bid on runs behind Cause Celebre. At the prices, for me FB is the more attractive proposition e/w. Her run to CC was under similar conditions as today, seems to get on with the appie and cracks first good draw.
R3 Pretty open affair... I'm going with Roy's Guardian to go in again. Qarman and Boarding Call interested me a little at bigger prices and R1 e/w on Alpeonie, ignore the last two and back over a sprint with de Melo up, just maybe.
R4 Open, trying Pyscho Syd e/w and a couple of rand on Gulf Storm but huge mass
R5 Seattle Singer e/w - The Secret Is Out
R6 Red Chesnut Road - Timedtoperfection R1 e/w
R7 Open... Lanner Falcon - Princess Royal - Victoria Lavelle
R8 Silverturnstogold
R9 Jet Intombi - All Mine
Small Diego de G e/w yankee and Spies e/w patent Boarding Call, Seattle Singer, Timedtoperfection
Be(s)t of luck to all

(1) Roy's Rolls Royce should be able to win here - but failing in 11 attempts at a maiden must be a concern, so odds do not represent value. Golden Fort and rebel Circus could improve.
(2) A very weak affair with catherineofaragon possibly looking the best, not sure where to look for challengers - perhaps Fashion Fusion, Feature Bid Dub Liner
(3) Looking for continued improvement from She's a Fortress and Qarman
(4) May have to look wide here, Gulf Storm and Captain Alfredo must set the benchmark, but there is a lot to like about Physco Syd, and also Captains Causeway. This race being a little hazy, I would go with a value combination of Physco Syd from Gulf Storm, Captains causeway and Captain Alfredo.
(5) Another race to spread the risk a little wider. Touching with a chance, The Secret is Out, Seattle Slinger could be runners in this company with Visuality and Al Hawraa having some claim perhaps to the places.
(6) Need to see more of Red Chestnut Road, Gunner and Red Rock next best with something to come from Gio Ponti's Legacy.
(7) Not sure what to make of my selection In Other Words, challenges from Lanner Falcon and Cosmic Light possibly.
(8.) A scary maiden race - I would like to see how At Long Last goes if getting away clean and not finding trouble, Silverturnstogold the obvious one to beat.
(9 ) Form is a little vague, but I will go with Tonya, from Jet Intombi and Possibly silken.
Very Little Value to be found in today's card.

@Englander
Now you got me worried. Just got a call and someone tips me the same horse (Patroclus). I bluntly told him that if this horse wins , I will give up punting.... {need to apologise I think}

Think you should take your phone off the hook Deeno :lol:
PS If mine had run straight then could have held on for 3rd and maybe went a little too hard from the get-go but kept me interested so no complaints

The strongest from here would seem to be Feature bid behind Windsinger -- but anything could happen in this weak field.

Race 4: Ernie takes on a strong , competitive field. He is well, and ran a cracker last time. He should run well here, although the draw is a concern. The horse to beat is Captains Causeway- he is ahead of the handicapper, and we have to give him 3kg.
