magics new rating after running 4th to bull valley is an 83 but today he races off a 71 so if he reproduces that feature run he will come home lonely...will wait and see ...in future races on turf he will run off an 83 and he hasn't been able to win off a 71 so not the wisest move in the world to run him last Saturday and the connections must be hoping he wins today off a 71....last time rafeef ran he was slow away and drawn 1 and after a furlong murray moved him from the inside rail towards the outside rail costing him valuable ground so I can see him beating hidden agenda home again...centrefield in the first race could be eachway value in race 1 as he ran just 2.5l off the rafeef and hidden value in his first run back after a long layoff over the course and distance but he looked to suffer 2nd run after rest syndrome in his next start ,his 3rd start was much better from a wide draw around the turn and hopefully it will give this unfashionable partnership a decent run today

Go watch the replay again.. Hidden Agenda was the eyecatcher

depends what premium you put on the draw? I say Rafeef draw is worth 2-3 lengths, not saying its a good thing but the draw is very valuable

A quick look, so if Hidden Agenda (6/1) receives 0.5kgs from Raffeef (28/10) after dead-heating, and is a year older, then surely the value must lie with Hidden Agenda? Also receives 4.0kgs from the other joint favourite, Oculus (28/10). Four kgs is a bit to concede to any horse, let alone an unexposed, (possible) improving sort.

you think de klock would have sent this horse out first time in a feature if he thought it was a lowly rated type?

R1 I like the longer of the two little runners, has had some bad luck with drawd and I think some value at 5/2 a drum.

R2 I won't oppose the favorite. Biggest danger I make seven pillars.

R3 Miss whales unlucky last time out when only a length behind China white. CW was two lengths ahead of Innaninstant before that and if reproducing I think Miss Wales should get it right today.

R4 My preference is for Tahini, future fantastic to be there and thereabouts.

R5 Khumalo could get a quick double with bravo maya. Will include all of dangerous diva, Kings v, lemonade River and Tell my star.

R6 Gun fighter to be there. Il chance e/w on salute the sun as well as chief Sioux he seems to enjoy running fresh.

R7 Iwannabe backed from 40s into 5s lto and ran a credible enough race. All three wins over this distance and I make her a decent e/w MR has dropped 11 points in 4 runs. All of raring to go, Dukes dime and sweet habanero to be thereabouts.

R8 Ochulus the obvious one. I'm not convinced on Raffeef although agree that MDK wouldn't have put him in a feature first time out if not decent. Besides the top two I think Night editor could be of some value with MR dropping. Binda also makes this one his best of the day.

Play well.

Tahini in the 4th is an interesting runner. Been running in plated races under sufferance after winning her maiden. She has been up against some top opposition. She now comes back to a MR race and could prove the one to beat for an in form combination.
