hiya all

I was watching USO on Champions day and trainer M Azzie let slip that Greek Legend was his Gold Cup horse.Impressive winner.
Couple G2 races can be bagged leading up to the GC.

not on CTC list.

cheers

I might be wrong, but I thought he mentioned Deputy Jud (not Greek Legend )

I was standing 7th with 57 points....first show
Then yesterday I dropped to no 9
Today I'm no 12.

I was under the impression that 57 points was very high.
Really very curious how I can drop down so far with no real races being run in the last week.

Actually starting to believe that people are submitting entries with horse that scored points after the first day races...tab outlets that have manual entries could not have been processed before the 5th race last Friday....

I could be wrong but it seems almost impossible that people scored almost perfect scores in the first 10....really awaiting leaderboard....probably all the tabgold staff in 1st 10

The auditors should have the time at which entries were submitted and i agree that having s perfect score smells of skullduggery in my opinion. It would be interesting to note at what time the website closed.

I think that the problem lies with the manual entries submitted at the tabgold branches and not the website.
The website closed for new entries just after the running of the 5th race...a little late but still acceptable.
The manual entries that are being processed days after the start is where the concern comes in.
I was happy to be up there in first 10 the next morning...fantastic that they allocated the points so quickly.
Having submitted 18 entries and having points 57,49,43,35 and 34 in a few of them I was excited at having a good start...then I start dropping down the list as the manual entries are processed...damn some of those guys are psychic ...I just hope I'm wrong and they are not being allowed to capture entries after the races for there friends and family.
We all spend money on this competition and I for one do it for the thrill and not the financial gain...
The operators should consider closing the competition a week earlier next year for manual entries so that they can be processed before the first race or online only so that the next morning we know what position we are in...no surprises from manual capturing thereafter.

I made 35 online entries and still showing unpaid after the comp closed 9 days ago...I won't be entering this comp again next year if they don't sort this problem out - agree 100%, make the deadline 1 week before comp starts so that we all know what is going on!!

Send you POP to sheila.devilliers@racingsouthafrica.co.za. Should be sorted in 10 minutes.

Hi Noordhoek. Merp posted the above email a few days ago. I sent her the POP for my two "unpaids" on Thurs night. On Friday morning first thing I saw an email from her acknowledging receipt and the "unpaids" were turned into "paids". Ms Sheila de Villiers is an employee I would want to hire.

Hi I think that this competition is a long way from deciding the winner and those who had perfect scores or very high scores merely based it on the Friday nights fields which means those horses cannot keep racing through all the major races for the points .its actually a massive disadvantage as no sprints started , no distance races , nor most of the big horses have stepped out ..so those who are on the leader board way up there will soon drop a lot as each meeting takes place as they will have one or two or none running ..so whoever is worried about the leader board and those entries that have been late or supposedly from tab gold entries then don't even worry as it's a marathon ..The sprint day is at Scottsville, lol..
but this competition should have a cut off a few days in advance as some punters have noted ..
good luck to all esp the ones high up in the leader board now , come to the end then please let us know what position your entries are sitting at ...

The list was very bad this year
Horses like

Greek Legend (aimed at the Gold Cup) was not there

BUT
A horse like

Bold Inspiration was on the list and the horse is not even in SA, its racing on the island.

Surely somethings not right here in my opinion
