lol Dave, don't start being a disbeliever mate, you know that is the route to being a loser.
Just as an aside, did everyone not think that Magi (or Madgi back in those days), was a woman originally, I know I did lol

Last year sometime in May, I lost over the weekend and the Monday it was racing on the Poly @ Fairview, I am not a big fan of the poly and decided not to play but had a look @ the card and noticed that Muzi had a few good rides for Paddock and one good ride for Gavin Smith in the 8th, is I changed my mind and took a R100 ( per combination ) yankee with Yeni and and Paddock and a R50 Canadian with the same but added in the Smith horse.
and then the fun began, Muzi started arriving and after the first two winners my account was on R4000 after the third winner it as R15 000 and after the forth winner it was R27000 I still remembers that the horse Muzi was riding for Gavib Smith was drawn deep and it was a 12 or 1300m and I said to myself that he will jump and go sit second and grab the leader in the straight and it happened just like that, he won by 3 lengths
Now I am waiting for the payout and was expecting to land up with about R50 000, man and then all those trebles quads etc starting paying out and I couldn't believe my eyes the final mount was R150 000 my biggest win ever! and to think I didn't even wanted to play.

Great thread. In 2008, my wife gave birth to triplets. They were in intensive care at St. Augustines for six weeks in Durban. We had to live with some family near Malvern. I had not taken a bet for weeks with all the excitement and stress of the kids arrival. One Saturday, it was the SA Classic I was itching to take a bet. I went to the Malvern tats and I fancied Kings Gambit. I put R100 at 20/1. I then too a fun tremble with Woodruff in 4th and C. Laird (9th race )..cant remember the names at R20K to R100. I then took some dbls and bankered three in pick six. The 1st arrived by a whisker. Kings Gambit streaked in and the last won by a whisker beating Emperor Napoleon (de Kock) ...I remember listening in on the phone in the hospital. Wow what a rush. I collected about R55k. the pick six did not pay much. I caught it 2.5 times.
On the Monday I collected and took R50k and put into an investment account with my banker. Last month I cashed it in at R200k and gave it to my wife. She never complains since when I gamble.

Good stuff guys.
Can you imagine the buzz those Leicester fans who had the token £5 and £10 on at 5000/1
are feeling at the moment.I think one of them cashed out 2 games back.

A Leicester City fan, who stood to win £250,000 from a £50 bet on his team winning the Premier League, has cashed out for £72,000.
The Warwickshire man, who has chosen to remain anonymous, bowed out of the 5,000-1 wager on Saturday.
Hours later his stake would have been worth £91,000 after the Foxes beat Watford 1-0, said Ladbrokes.
The winner said: "It will mean so much if we win, so there's no point in being greedy."
I wonder what he would have got after last night.
With Watford and Newcastle to play, who would have gambled and held on until after last nights game or who would have gone earlier or let it go until the end?
