However ,Banking April ran to 5 points higher than todays rating last time out and together with the 7point appie allowance,is also 12 points "well off" ..............and is 14/1.........include in bets!

Paid 4 places but didn't get a run till too late ..............switched a number of times .........put in the notebook!

Maybe it was just by chance that the P6 was a carry over and I posted this, but I believe different.... Too often just before a big meet there is a carry over.... I am only assuming that this will be added to Sat meet.... Just my opinion though.....

Karma ,it does seem to happen quite often but far too many people and factors would need to be involved for it ever to be considered a conspiracy!!!!..................too many people involved and they will double cross each other.......lol :woohoo:

Rob, obviously the tote takes a cut from the pools (not sure the exact, but is it the same as the bookies 6%?)...

Secondly, in the event of a carryover like today, Does the tote then take another cut of the monies carried forward to the next meet? Or do they deduct this from the pool at the next meet and only take a cut of the monies played on the day? In the event of the 1st senario, is this right? Is it legal? (Ps, my legal knowledge background is below piss poor).....

Karma ,the total take-out is 25% (which makes tote betting a very poor value bet ........but we don't notice when the payouts are big)
The net pool is carried over and is added to the new net pool ie. after 25% deduction from new bets.........so that is fair(sic)
Tote betting is robbery in many ways though......................my biggest gripe is they take the full 25% off the pool if only 2 legs of an exotic is run,and then abandoned, instead of a proportional amount .................the punter bears the full brunt of abandonment!

Karma, the carry over amount is not taxed again. It is only the new bets that are taxed.
