I have just seen pics on the news about the floods in York. TERRIBLE.

Anyone in the area, or that have family in the area, please look after yourselves, and those involved are in my thoughts and prayers....

Cheers karma its flooding all over the place close to where I am, 15 miles away. Peebles where I always go is flooded as the rivers are over flowing. Roads are like rivers. Pretty bad and really feel for those whose homes are flooded

Shame Chicken.... Its really bad, what a terrible time for people to be losing homes (there is never a good time, but over this period when families are meant to be joyous and celebrating)...

Nature will always win, incredible how fast the water can flow. Snow now due to fall tomorrow but hopefully not too much

When I was a kid, my grandfather once told me (and I laughed thinking he is mad, as I was really young and naïve), always take fire before water. You can control fire, but NEVER water... Those words have stuck with me thoughout my life...

Don't forget the wind, and those tornados in the states. Snow can be pretty bad as well. A few years ago it snowed so much that it came up above the downstair windows

I hear Cameron got heckled in York after reducing aid for flood defences last year.
