The July has the bigger hype but punters would prefer to travel for the met day but only stay for a couple of races July day then leave very sad :(

Met from a purely horse racing aspect, the best horse in the race wins which the same can't be said about the July. Agree with Pirates, nothing compares to the Queens plate in SA as an event to attend
