As we know ,however, rules don't mean a thing to our lot ..............in terms of that amendment, this result was a dead heat!!!!!!!

That was Young Rake and El Picha. After the photo it was released, you can clearly see El Picha won, but how come they took so long is anyones guess. Up to this day when I see the replay I still go with Young Rake

So this race result was called wrongly?

The reason given for the "new" rule was, that if it was necessary to use a microscope to try and separate ,a dead heat was probably a fairer result.
Once they have made that decision, rightly or wrongly, surely they must apply it............you would think!

And is there a specification for the width of the photo line?

Just dumb thoughts, nothing serious :-)

Mac

How can you guys not clearly see that inside horse won????? Look at the nostrils of both horses and see where the yellow line is. Clear clear winner, no question.

Zites my next door neighbour has a bigger nose than me, will his nostrils be inline with mine? :)

Plus we are not doubting wether the horse won or not , we are asking where the line is? TT also queried the result and they have all the technology of slow mo etc available

Watched this replay four times and each time I gave it to the horse on the outside. Never had a punt.

Chippy sent this pic in, he says the furthest away line is the winning line and the 2nd line is where Flying Ryan finished

Thanks Chippy but I think technology is going overboard and we will probably never have another dead heat if this one does not qualify
