i honestly can advise horse ownership is definitely a BIG NO!!! those that gain in racing industry are the trainer jockey and vets...your bank balance decreases rapidly. majority of the trainers will give you stories upon stories...end of it all too much stress...rather donate your money to charity...

Go the leasing route if you can. It's the cheapest option and will give you a good idea of what to expect without the capital outlay up front.

Also suggest go into a smaller stable especially if starting out. You want to ask questions and want to be dealing with the trainer face to face to learn as much as you can.

Dave, you so right...if you can just watch the post race interview of Winter Love on Friday. John Peter had his first winner in 10 years with a leased filly.
He was soooo excited that he danced the Highland Fling on National tv.....
It's about that exciting feeling of leading in YOUR winner and no amount of money can buy that !!
