Ok love but I am expecting an important call from Superman

The dog, fast asleep, ears twitch. The name of Superman triggers something in his brain and he is up and out of the house into the yard, yapping in dog language that the boss is expecting a call from Superman. All the animals are excited as they know that when Superman calls he gets a ride and usually a winner. Boys, girls says the dog, if Superman rides Fly First Class and wins then the boss will be getting us all a treat. All of the animals in the yard are running around at the prospect of a winner and the bonus that comes with it.

The phone rings

Craig? Yes Superman how are you?

Not bad but a bit disappointed as I could not win on those 4 odds on favourites that I rode yesterday.

Never mind says Craig we all have our off days and not all of us are a Ryan Moore.

A sigh is heard from the otherside of the line. Yes Craig says Superman oh how I wish that I was good as him.

Never mind Superman I heard that you are off to Dubai for the World Cup.

No says Superman, I want to ride Fly First Class for you. But Superman why would you want to ride Fly First Class when you can ride in Dubai and earn tens of thousands of USD whereas when you win, you always win on Fly First Class, you will earn a paltry R500.

What Craig hears next brought a smile to his well worn face and a trickle of a tear ran right down to the side of his chin.

Craig said Superman, I would rather ride for you and win than ride in Dubai with all the lights and glitter the prestige as you and I share something very special. Whats that asks Craig? We see each other at 5am in the morning where all we can hear is the breathing of tired horses while the rest of ABC sleeps. Its a special time and a time that only we can relate too.

Very good CnC! Busy watching the Bulls now and wondering how the Sharks managed to win after playing so badly! Pity Superman is not playing for the Sharks, I could relax and watch the game knowing he would get us over the line. seriously if you come over here you must get hold of me for a beer or 7 and if I come over there I will do the same. Maybe I can bring you a signed poster of Superman as a present? :silly:

That would be an occasion to saviour Craig. I will have to duck and dive as there are a few Durbanites on the forum that would gladly have me sectioned into a mental institution. Superman can play for the Sharks only when they are odds on to win a match ie when they play the Bulls. Hoping that the Crusaders can win this just so that the rest of the weekend can be spent smiling.
