Geez they should be more responsible than talk shit
its easy to talk crap when you don't have to prove it. Pundits on ATR who do SA racing tell us that they take 1000s of trifectas in a race and catch jackpots and p6 of hundreds of thousands of rands. Did you know that I have a 14 inch dick?

I also am well aware that the operators have the war with bookies on Tellytrack etc etc
However who is using theses rapidly spoken odds on overseas racing ?
In addition if not mistaken he just quoted all the tote odds for France with tote payouts where a few hundred rands would change the odds in seconds.
Again this is not being sarcastic I really have no idea what use this is ?
Well the bookmakers in South Africa for French, Hong Kong and Singapore are using the tote payouts of that country as their indication for their odds which is almost identical to the tote payouts of that country. I for one use the tote payouts for those centres to take my bets which you can access via the internet for those centres except for Singapore where at only race time you can view their tote payouts . Those pools are enormous and it takes a large wager for odds to drop so you have an idea where the money is.

I have not watched for a while. I don't think ATR show much anymore. The last time it was on Andrew Riddle did it. He is well liked and makes no excuses when a horse loses.

naresh with all due respect fixed odds are a reasonable estimate of a horses chance to win a race based on form and an assessment of the outcome.
A tote is only a machine based on money placed on a race, the totes may be stronger and more stable overseas however to quote a price variance on a tote for race 9 before any stability of a market has been established has no value to any punter
Eg I own a horse in race 9 it might be a total donkey but I place a grand and it goes 18/10 on tote and Shaheen says the horse has moved from 200 a win to 28 a win is totally irrelevant and the poor punters in the tote think it's a betting coup
sorry guys but this is just a waste of time and energy

Plus the mighty french tote for the ARC was made a mockery when the japs punted their horse to money on and gave plenty opportunities for the punters to have a decent strike on their fancies at decent odds.
bottom line u can never quote tote odds in advance as a calculated chance of a horses chances it's based on money placed which could well be an emotional punt from a rich punter.
