To me it was chalk and cheese. The Stormers game was scrappy and will not be remembered, except for the result.

The Lions/Sharks game was a good game, two very good teams playing proper Rugby.

Both of these teams wont even raise much of a sweat when they play and beat the Stormers. They can plan to rest/rotate players for those games and can even give some younger players a 20 minute run in the second half, when they are well clear.

Even the Bulls will pressurise the Stormers into making both forced and unforced errors this Season....and some yellow cards too.

When the day comes that you decide to stop training horses and you are sitting at home, bored with nothing to do and the days just drag on and on and you can’t sleep at night because you are worried that you have nothing to do tomorrow you can always become a comedian :)

Bottom line is this

Stormers have a W
Sharks have a L

Does not matter how good they looked they still lost

Champions elect dig out results as the Stormers did on a poor day

Stormers showed the same form again this week. They threw the game away at the death. They just lack a bit of class in the top level games, which shows during the end of their games. Sorry Chicken.

And the Lions are playing their top level type of Rugby against the Jaguares right now. The Sharks were a bit rusty last week, but held their own, in the top level.

In a few minutes time, we will see the influence of the new coach on the Bulls. Let's hope that we maybe have another team in the top level, in addition to the Sharks and Lions.

So, at least we now have 3 top level teams in SA. The young Bulls have joined the Sharks and the Lions.

Strange because when I look at the results I see that the Stormers have 5 points

The Sharks have zero points

The Lions have played two home games against two very ordinary teams

The Bulls have played a team that had to fly all the way from NZ for their first match

We will see next week
