Interesting guy.

Doubt we will see another race course though, very difficult to operate profitably so what could possibly be the motive when the leading players are consolidating their position.

There was talk of harness racing being launched in SA as well with a tote licence to operate already granted and so far nothing has come of this either.

Actually its Berlin

It's a big project including a multi million rand mall

Berlin is about 15 minutes from King Williams Town and about 35 minutes
from East London central

Other area they could use is Bhisho as they already have this amatuer racing there.

Same as the Premier event held recently in Berlin.

I can't see a new "formal" racecourse but having said that the bush or amateur racing in this part of the world is well attended. Fairview would give their left bollock for the same crowds.

It was raining a lot that day when they held the Premiers event.

They claimed to have 30 000 at their last event, far bigger than the Summer Cup the same day
