Never punting at Hollywood again!

Feedback from our Western Cape manager:
The only branch in Cape Town with upstairs and down is our Waterkant St branch. We have removed the music from the branch completely and had the volume on the TV's turned up louder so the punters can hear the commentary. I will follow up about the betting sheets and racing booklets as it makes sense to have them at the horse racing section. This will be done asap. Thanks for the feedback.

i have a few complaints as well

i don't like the fact that so many of the staff wear yellow and Purple. Makes me dizzy and i place the wrong bet.

they seem to run out of my brand of whiskey on a regular basis.

The TV' sets are not yet 4D so quality is not great.

Gentleman I am LM bookmaker punter and the stretches you get are fantastic. I drive from Robertsham all the way to the Westrand because you get treated like a client and not like they are doing you a favour. On Saturday the server was down and being in a hurry I went to the tote in Robertsham. What a disaster. There are only two tote machine and the KARDASHIANS that are working there have no clue on client delight. I stood for about ten minutes for service because the KARDASHIAN,s was counting her ten cent pieces and eating KENTUCKY CHICKEN and also chatting to her colleague. It is the first time I saw a KARDASIAN multitask chatting, counting money and eating all at once. Never will I put my foot in that dive again.

I always wondered does anyone know why the operator's keep counting the cash in the draw? I mean while punters wait to lay bets they count. Seen it happen all the time in Hollywood and other bookmakers.

maybe the company auditors are at the branch or the staff just double checking that there cash in draw to what they are supposed to have is correct.(shouldn't be while customers waiting for bets)

I think Hodson needs to wake up.Firstly if you you combine sport and racing the whole bet is subject to 6 % taxthats the regulator ruling.So if you want to avoid the 6% tax then take your horse racing bet separate to your sport bet to save tax..That is why some betting outlets don't do racing or sports beting,If you take ten teams in soccer and one racing good thing you will pay tax on the whole bet.Learn the rules before you complain and make a fool of your self.

I called Hollywood the other day as the betting on 26th came out late. The lady promised to call me back as soon as the betting came out so I could take a bet. Do you think I got a call???

Collecting winnings from Hollywood is my biggest gripe.........they always have to scamper around or get money from somewhere else to pay you out :whistle:

Apart from that I'm happy to bet at Hollywood
