J&B MET 2015 WILL BE TELEVISED ON SUPERSPORT IN A LIVE TWO-HOUR TRANSMISSION

Kenilworth Racing is delighted to announce that the 2015 J&B Met, Cape Town’s premier horse race and one of the elite events on the South African horseracing calendar, will be televised on SuperSport in a live two-hour transmission.
The J&B Met will be run at Kenilworth Racecourse in Cape Town on Saturday 31 January and is set to be an enthralling contest. The array of equine stars in the field includes 2014 Horse Of The Year Legislate, recent Queen’s Plate winner Futura and Joburg champion Louis The King, winner of the SA Triple Crown and the SANSUI Summer Cup last year.

All the excitement and glamour of one of the world’s greatest racedays will be captured in the live two-hour broadcast on SuperSport Select (channel 210 DStv) beginning at 15:00.

The J&B Met will be run at 16:45 and the live transmission will include coverage of two of the other major feature races on the day, as well as the entire build-up to the 38th running of Cape Town’s greatest race, which includes the announcement that every person on course who purchased a general entrance ticket at www.computicket.co.za will stand a chance of winning a diamond pendant valued at a breath taking R500, 000. (T&Cs apply* www.jbscotch.co.za )

“We are delighted to be teaming up with SuperSport for what is truly a magnificent horseracing event and we are planning a spectacular transmission that will include live coverage of the day as well as pre-recorded inserts that give an insight into the wonderful world of horseracing,” said Phumelela Sales Executive Clyde Basel.

IMO, if Act of War runs he will be a massive runner with only 53kg's on his back. Very risky backing the horse now as you are not guaranteed a run.

Futura Futura Futura! Personally I think it's one of the weaker Met fields for a few years.

Do you guys think Jet Belle will run in the Met? Its not a question of whether she makes the field, but rather which race the connections choose for her.. I like the 100/1 on offer, but dont wanna do my money if they withdraw her before final fields are announced.
