The newcomer scratched and Chili Chocolate 6/10 12/1 bar. I haven't seen this type of betting for a long time. Does this favourite really deserve such a short price? I for one do not believe the form of her debut is anything exceptional or am I missing something?

In the sixth i would have gone for Itsgottobeme to place but im a little concerned of the second run after a rest albeit a little less then two months and Alcanina would have been my choice to fight out the finish with Northern Horizons but theres just too much difference in the weights and with Khumalo in devestating form one has little option but to go for the favourite. But for the punter who seldom plays a win im tempted by the odds on the first mentioned.
Having said that 46 cents to the rand will end up looking good

Watch Chili Chocolate run then you will understand why it is 6/10

Workriders race Gwingwizha rode CIAO-CIAO on its debut (beating a Tarry hot-pot) for St John so hoping that he can get close on trainers PARADE DANCER. Split bet @ 33s & 22/1 without Fav and MDKs.

RED HAZE - the sire is doing ok from very few runners - include in Quartets (WOTTAHOTTIE qand Bristol Bulldog should be the 2 to beat though)
KALANCHOE - include in quartets
WILL I DO - E/w - SW with Rose Of Castille
URGENT FURY - my 4 place of the day(Hyaku could well follow up on Maiden as he looks like an improver)
JIMMI CHOO - Without a win for a year but today he should change that record
SHIVER `N SHAKE - could well win (respect NORTHERN HORIZONS and LADY KY)
SILVER CLASS sw with DOVER BEACH
TORRELAVEGA ran above her rating last time - If she repeats that(watch how Silver Class performs) she will be in the money - 1400m should suite as her half sister is a stayer - An interesting horse is EAGLE HIGH(15-1) - This mare has ability in the 80 mr band but has soundness issues and now races of a 67 due to a 8 month sabbatical- Do not ignore as the stable sent out Black Poseidon to win a few weeks ago who had a similar profile - She does run well fresh so be warned

If the draw favours the outside, I make Northern Horizons a standout bet at 3/1. She on LBH would have run 0,05L behind Atso Time who is now a 3 time winner albeit in the Sand. She has scope whereas the other bar Sylvan Gold, Melody Of Magic and Party Peg, have found their place. If being allowed to use her stride I think the rest will battle to peg her back.
Yankee for today:
Race 2: 5 Misty Winter
Race 4: 7 Chestnut Charger
Race 6: 8 Northern Horrizons
Race 8: 13 Devorah
Play well

Despite the obvious doubters out there, having gone high two weeks ago only to see them running to the inside, I took no notice of the draw last time here and got stuffed when high seemed favoured. This time I am back to siding with high in the hope there is at last some consistency (imo lol) and if its anything else, my wrath will only be fuelled!
R1 Noble Journey, small e/w... think he will appreciate the drop back in d and has competed against some fairly decent fields. Mosia, who rode him last time over 1400, up again from a potentially beneficial high draw. Also nibbled the SJG debutant.
R2 Weak field. The fav had two horses beat her first time up who had really done very little on debut (one much closer to Spellbound 2nd time up though) and though the likely winner she is drawn 1 and I won't be risking her from that draw. I'll chance Misty Winter e/w who drops in trip on 3rd run after a rest and gets the blinkers. Striker now riding won't hurt her chances for a stable that has been in better form of late.
R3 Will I Do and Bad Dream both had blinkers on when opposing London and both have had them removed here. That day WID was about 10l ahead despite being drawn worse of the two. Obviously a line can be put through the run of BD and was much better nto. I still prefer WID though who has had poor draws in all 3 runs to date and the likelier to have further improvement. BD a big danger though with PS up. Inkolo was (seemingly) much improved lto (as predicted by yours truly lol) and make up the trifecta.
R4 Hyaku respected but I am far from convinced and would rather row in with the consistent Chestnut Charger who has been right there in his last three outings. If the high numbers are favoured then the 15 box can only help. Swift Fox is usually not too far away and is a danger assuming all is well at the stable. If so Urgent Fury is not to be overlooked. Although winning his maiden with them on, Royal Duo was much improved lto with them removed despite a wide draw. Had a small e/w nibble at big odds. And for the complete nutter of the day, the R1 e/w has gone on Gaz Man whose stats read a lot better if everything but the Vaal is removed.
R5 Jimmy Choo x the 3/3 over c/d Vantage
R6 I was with Alcanina but will now, somewhat tentatively, go with Northern Horizons. The stablemate Melody Of Magic might prove the hidden danger with Party Peg and Shiver n Shake thereabouts.
R7 Silver Class for me. Phenomenal if all well after the rest for the exacta and Captain's Delight to add some value to the trifecta. Dover Beach for quartets.
R8 Bernadine respected and the booking of Striker, plus winning last time after a rest, would imply she is ready to go. Even so, I'll take my chances with Antonia Major who returned to form lto. Soft Sand and Devorah dangers and I am with Mr H, Eagle Face the potential "shock".
A number of L Erasmus horses mentioned but I have a nag that says the stable is not completely on song at the moment, might get some further clarity on that today. If all is well, then chances at prices and an e/w patent might be a bet worth considering, which horses is your choice of course!
Striker accumulators may again not be a bad idea as all his rides have decent chances imo, my only reservation is that I am also not convinced the Tarry stable is in top form at the moment and he has a couple of rides for them, that partly explains the fact that I am opposing Hyuku and Bernadine but, I will still include them in the PS accies.
Be(s)t of luck to all.
