E, let me say very quickly it is not my intention fingering people. I was just asking a question if the horses were meant to win or if there was a hint of them being allowed to win. So far no one has criticized the riding of any of the other competitors in the 2 races so I will accept they all tried their best.

Please if I offended anyone I will apologise immediately. But you all seem to agree with me it was a weird outcome under weird circumstances

Think about it... Did the trainer tell his jock he had 2 beauts for him to ride today? Did he tell him to go to Kimberley to try and get the best out of 2 old campaigners? Man there are many questions...

AND... I have not seen the races, only results

lol Haupie, relax my friend, not accusing you of anything, merely trying to clarify things a little, certainly from what I saw... which is that those two horses were easily the best on the day in both fields and the opposition didn't stand a chance from the start imo... in retrospect of course.

Whichever way you look at it mate, it has certainly created the impression that someone has created a situation by which they will profit heavily and to hell with the rest. And I think you are right, I doubt very much Mr Cheyne would have bothered if he was not given plenty confidence or promised top dollar for the rides. I could be wrong of course but it seems very strange if not.

Stinks more than a rancid sewer plant! ;)

From a punter's perspective, ignoring the apparent coup, all the more kudos to WP who spotted what, in hindsight, we all should have noticed... before WP told us to notice it and after his words of wisdom most of us still chose to ignore it! lol

A fairly good day for Ziets me thinks, well done to him. Random Al winning would have made me almost as happy as WP today but alas it was not to be lol
